Casares
About 18km inland of Estepona, lies one of the lesser known white towns of Casares.
Spectacularly perched on the side of steep hillside, underneath a Moorish castle, it has a population of just three thousand and is a true picture postcard setting.
The town is well served by a windy, yet well maintained, road that travels off the N340 from Estepona.
Casares is typically Andalucian, with it's steep, cobbled streets and white washed houses. The Spanish community and small, ex-pat community mingle seamlessly. The town is largely untouched by tourism and is a beautiful place for your new home.
If quite, sleepy, village life is your thing, then you simply must take a look at Casares.
